Very exciting news dancers’ our November Milonga Utopia 11-14-26 will feature a very special guest DJ Jamie Lin!
Jamie is a traditional tango DJ with roots in Hong Kong and the wider Asian tango community, now calling Buenos Aires home.
Known for his musical, energy-driven Golden Age tandas, he combines attentive floor reading with a deep, instinctive understanding of tango as a seasoned milonguero.
Since 2013, he has DJed at numerous milongas, workshops, festivals and encuentros across major cities in Asia and the US, as well as Buenos Aires.
Let’s give them a super warm Durham and NC & sister city’s welcome!

Each body system offers a unique pathway to movement, expression, and musical interpretation. Through guided exploration, we will discover how different physical qualities can illuminate the character of various tango orchestras and enrich our dancing.

The skeletal system provides clarity, organization, and rhythmic precision. We will explore movement that is grounded, direct, and architecturally clear.

The fluid system invites continuity, adaptability, and seamless movement. We will cultivate a sense of effortless flow and connection.

The muscular system supports contrast, energy, and dynamic change. We will investigate acceleration, suspension, and rhythmic complexity.
