It’s here, tonight Milonga Utopia Time!! This month is shaping up to be one of
the best Tango Utopia Milongas ever!!! Fresh off of his national debut at the
ValenTango event in Portland the DJ will be Rick Kim from Washington DC. As
always there will be snacks and some munchies along with wine and water. The
door przie will of course be a bottle of bubbly. So plan to come early and stay
late you don’t miss a single tanda in this very special Milonga. I also
encourage you to bring your favorite beverage to share with friends. So come
with your best shoes and bring a friend!!!

It is that time again the new beginners class will start this Monday, March 4th at TDS for both new and intermediate dancers. All level / fundamental class will start at 7 pm to 8 pm follow by a practica from 8pm to 9pm for both classes (all level and intermediate). The intermediate class will start from 9pm to 10pm. We will start with milonga class and continue with musicality, improvisation, expression, and technique for hero, ochos, and embellishments. So I encourage any experienced dancers to come and meet and encourage the new dancers and also stay for the free practica! Any dancer from any of my previous beginners class can repeat the course free of charge.

Dear, All

It’s getting close to the second Saturday in February and we all know what that
means – Milonga Time!! This month will be special since the next day is the
Lunar New Year. We all had a great time at last years “Socks Milonga” so lets do
it again only at TDS back studio this time. There will be some “special” Lunar
New Year goodies(by my mom) at the food table along with sweets, fruits, and
wine. I urge every one to come early (8:00pm) and enjoy some food and
conversation before the dance and don’t forget to bring your favorite beverage.
There will be a bubbly door prize as usual and our very own Cecil Ho will be the
DJ. The time is 8:00pm until ???. So be sure to come and bring friends!!!

Dear All,

Break time is over time to get some new moves for 2013. The new class schedule
starts on the 7th for both new and intermediate dancers. All level class will

Dance tango and dream of utopia

Happy New Year everyone!!! Thanks for your wonderful support in 2012. It was such a great year for dancing so lets make 2013 even better. The monthly milonga

Utopia is this Saturday at TDS starts from 9pm to 2am and the DJ will be our own
Katia Singletary known for her wonderful music. It will be held in the back
studio. This year has a great potential so lets start it off with a show
of tango energy. Our door prize will be as always a bottle of bubbly and I
encourage everyone to bring their favorite beverage and their bring most
comfortable shoes ( if you don’t know bring several to try out). Thank you all
for great support and looking forward to seeing you on the 12th @ milonga
Utopia.

Jae, Barbara and Thierry will host a New Year Milonga on behalf of Triangle Tango.

The milonga will be held in the upstairs studio at the Triangle Dance Studio, 2603 Miami Blvd, Durham, NC 27703

We will start the music at 9:30 PM and will finish at 2:00 AM.

As in previous years, we will have the traditional bubbly at countdown time.

Don’t forget that this is aimed at being a semiformal event, so dress to impress in your best tango attire!

Entrance: $12 p.p. including a glass of bubbly.

Please bring your favorite dessert and a bottle of wine to share with your friends. Soft drinks will be provided.

Thierry will be your DJ, although he favors tangos from the golden age, there will be some alternative and more modern tango pieces after midnight.

This Thursday is Thanksgiving so the powers to be have decided everyone would rather stay home and eat turkey than dance, so the Thursday practrica has been cancelled. Since there is no other tango event that weekend the tango die hards have come up with a great idea to still dance and loose weight. When will the never ending quick weight loss gimmicks stop – well believe it or not this one works…. The Thursday practica has been moved to Friday and if you have any left over dessert goodies that are still sitting and tempting you, well bring them and give away all those calories. The festive events will start at 8pm and go till 11pm or later if there are still dancers that just can’t find the door. Jae will dj for us. This will be casual as the typical Thursday practica. You are welcome to bring wine or left over goodies, but nothing is necessary, but a smile.
