Less than one week before our great weekend with Oscar Casas! For those of you who are last minute peeps, do not dismay! We have a few spots left, but wait no longer and register.

Even if you do not attend the workshop, Utopia has planned two exciting milongas that you do not want to miss! Our own Alicia Lazarowski will be DJing our Friday Welcome Milonga and on Saturday, Daniel Arredondo from Charlotte will spin tunes to keep us dancing until the wee hours in the morning. AND you definitely do not want to miss the performance of our own Jae with Oscar!

Milonga Utopia – Special Edition with Oscar Casas

Time: 9 to 2
Cost: $15 at the door (unless you have weekend/full workshop pass)

Two important things to keep in mind tonight. First, make sure your clocks are set an hour ahead if you did not do it yesterday – otherwise you will be late to work. Second, and most important, the Oscar Casas workshop registration is opened , so do your thing and sign up!

In times like these, the warm embraces, given and received, are like a balm to our spirits. We are ready to make many embraces possible at our upcoming Milonga Utopia with our guest DJ Rick Kim from DC!

But that is not all, people! Rick will be teaching two milonga classes before the dance begins: “Understanding Milonga” and “Milonga in Action”.

And of course, count on the yummy spread of Utopia goodies. Don’t forget to BYOWAS (bring your own wine and share)!

Energized by a wonderful weekend of dancing at the marathon and welcoming 2017 with dear friends, we are ready to take off with our tango activities.

Our first Milonga Utopia of the year will take place this coming Saturday, January 14. Yippeeee! Our own Katia Lecardronnel Singletary will be spinning fabulous tunes for us to dance the night away. As always, we will have a nice spread of goodies to keep you energized.PLEASE NOTE: due to liability concerns, all of our milongas and events will now be BYOW (bring your own wine).

There will be no tango Utopia class on Monday 9th, due to recent winter storm, Triangle dance studio’s parking lot is frozen with snow and ice so studio is being closed. 

We’ll start our new 6 week series next Monday the 16th! 

Tomorrow, brunch will be served at 11 a.m. and dinner will start at 5:30 p.m. Remember the color of ypur wristbands. We will have four seatings for dinner as follows: 5:30 – purple, 6:00 – blue, 6:30 – silver, 7:00 yellow and green.
