In times like these, the warm embraces, given and received, are like a balm to our spirits. We are ready to make many embraces possible at our upcoming Milonga Utopia with our guest DJ Rick Kim from DC!

But that is not all, people! Rick will be teaching two milonga classes before the dance begins: “Understanding Milonga” and “Milonga in Action”.

And of course, count on the yummy spread of Utopia goodies. Don’t forget to BYOWAS (bring your own wine and share)!

Energized by a wonderful weekend of dancing at the marathon and welcoming 2017 with dear friends, we are ready to take off with our tango activities.

Our first Milonga Utopia of the year will take place this coming Saturday, January 14. Yippeeee! Our own Katia Lecardronnel Singletary will be spinning fabulous tunes for us to dance the night away. As always, we will have a nice spread of goodies to keep you energized.PLEASE NOTE: due to liability concerns, all of our milongas and events will now be BYOW (bring your own wine).

• February 11: Rick Kim from DC will be our guest DJ and will be teaching a milonga workshop
• May 12 – 14: Oscar Casas in the Triangle! Do not miss what will be a fabulous workshop with this acclaimed teacher from Buenos Aires.

There will be no tango Utopia class on Monday 9th, due to recent winter storm, Triangle dance studio’s parking lot is frozen with snow and ice so studio is being closed. 

We’ll start our new 6 week series next Monday the 16th! 

Tomorrow, brunch will be served at 11 a.m. and dinner will start at 5:30 p.m. Remember the color of ypur wristbands. We will have four seatings for dinner as follows: 5:30 – purple, 6:00 – blue, 6:30 – silver, 7:00 yellow and green.

There is no December Milonga Utopia this Saturday, 10th!

We are getting ready for our New Year’s marathon at Valhalla!!!

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Clint Rauscher from Atlanta, GA teaches simple, elegant, musical and playful ideas to be used on the social dance floor from Atlanta to Buenos Aires.

You do not need a partner to take my classes. We switch partners during the class and make sure that everyone gets plenty of dance time.

The classes are taught in a multi-level format so all levels from advanced beginner to advanced dancers are welcomed.

You do not have to pre-register for the class, but it would be great to know who is coming. I could also possibly do a private lesson after the group class.

The end of year celebration begins with Utopia at our “ultima” (last) milonga of 2016! And for this fantastic and bombastic event we will be dancing to the tunes of DJ Mark Mindel from Charlotte!

Come enjoy great food, high energy, a friendly atmosphere and lovely dancers. Let’s get the end of 2016 party started!

Our new Argentine tango 6 weeks series will start on 7th, November to 12th, December! Our last class for current series will end tomorrow, we had around 20 dancers who work really hard for this series!

So Mark your calendar and come join us for our last series of 2016.
Intermediate class, we are going to work on Milonga and Vals. We’ll focus on technique, musicality, and movement!
