January 18th – No beginner class (come to practica!). Last intermediate class of this session from 715-815p, then practica after till 1045p.

This session will be Aidan Huene’s debut as the beginning class instructor for Tango Utopia! Aidan discovered tango in 2015 at the University of Pittsburgh’s Tango Club. She began exploring both roles in 2016 and has since danced both roles socially. Just as Aidan learned and developed her own tango in both roles, she takes a practical approach to teaching. She focuses on imparting elements which get students onto the dance floor and into embraces that create awareness of one’s own being, connection with others, playfulness with the music, and joy in every tanda.

We are delighted to announce August’s Utopia Milonga with DJ Mark Mindel from Charlotte, NC!

New Intermediate Series starts February 23! with a focus on circular movement, including the molinete, ochos, and mini volcadas.

This is a six-week class, meeting Thursdays, 7:15 – 8:15pm; followed by practica (8:30 – 10:30pm), and preceded by the Beginner Series (6-7 pm).
